Mainly serving US destinations, New Orleans Louis Armstrong Airport is a main hub for Southwest, American, Continental and Delta Airlines, and also US Airways. The airport is about 10 miles west of the city, and features one terminal, with four concourses (A, B, C and D).

The cheapest option for getting into the city is to use public buses provided by Jefferson Transit. You can also use bus services provided by Greyhound, which depart from the area outside entrance 7, on the upper level. Nine shuttle buses operated by Coastliner run to various destinations along the Mississippi coast.
Passengers can also opt for the Airport Shuttle service, which connects the airport with hotels in the central business district, while taxis can be found on the lower level outside the baggage claim area.
