A sunny gateway to Florida, Orlando International Airport serves over 30 million domestic passengers annually. The busiest airport in Florida is located seven miles southeast of Orlando and is fully equipped with facilities for passengers.
The airport has five terminals which include airside terminals 1, 2, 3, 4 and the Main Terminal. More than half of the flights served by the airport are domestic, with terminals 2 and 3 dedicated to airlines serving domestic destinations.
Passengers can find ATMs and full banking facilities throughout the airport, while internet kiosks are also available in all terminals. Postal services and telephones with data ports, fax machines and photocopying services are also on hand.
With plenty of restaurants, passengers can find every kind of food of their choice. The airport boasts more than 20 restaurants, a number of bars and a micro-brewery.
There are also a wide range of shops including gift and duty-free stores, jewellers and newsagents, as well as watch, toy, sunglasses and electrical shops. Also onsite are Walt Disney, SeaWorld and Universal Studios stores. Those wishing to shop for clothes can find countless brand name shops scattered around the airport.
The airport features good facilities for passengers requiring special assistance, with TDD telephones in the Main and airside terminals and special transport from satellite car parks.
Transportation at Orlando International Airport
There are many ways to get to the city from the airport. Buses leave from Level 1 on the A side of the terminal every 30 minutes to Pine St Bus Terminal in Orlando. The journey takes about 40 minutes.
Passengers can also travel by taxi service. Taxis charge by meter and can be found on Level 1 on both the A and B sides of the terminals. Shuttle buses are located at the same area and leave for the city and out-of-town destinations regularly.
To reach the airport, motorists can take State road 408 east from downtown Orlando. Join State road 436 (Semoran boulevard) and head south for the airport.
Parking at Orlando International Airport
Parking at Orlando is easy with both terminal and satellite parking lots available. Terminal parking is located within a short walk from the Main Terminal, and is very convenient for those not wishing to travel far to the terminal.
Satellite parking spaces are also provided. The satellite car park is located about a mile from the Main terminal and is served by free shuttle buses to all terminals.
