With seven terminals (A-G), Philadelphia International Airport is one of the busiest air hubs in the region, serving both domestic (terminals B and C) and international flights (terminals A and D-G). The airport is located about seven miles from the city centre, allowing easy access from downtown.
All terminals are modern and fully-equipped with travelotors connecting each terminal together. Passengers can find ATMs and currency exchange facilities in most terminals. Those requiring medical care can find medical services available at the Mercy Careport.
Scattered around are a number of restaurants and cafés, while the Philadelphia Marketplace is located on the connector between terminals B and C, featuring 34 restaurants and shops. Terminals B and C are also shopping havens, boasting a wide range of duty-free shopping.
Business travellers can use the Business Centre, equipped with fax, internet points and other business facilities as well as catering services. There are also communication facilities provided in the link between terminals A and B, where you can find office services including fax and internet points.
The airport has special facilities for passengers with disabilities. TDD phones and Braille signs can be found in lifts and at ATMs, while special toilets are also available.
Transportation at Philadelphia International Airport
Travelling from the airport to the city centre is easy. Passengers can choose to use either rail or bus services that provide efficient connections to many major stations in town. Travelling by train only takes about 20 minutes, and trains leave the airport every 30 minutes.
Optionally, you can take one of the shuttle buses that operate from Philadelphia Airport. Shuttle buses and limousines can be found at Zone 7. Another option is to take a taxi, which are available 24 hours. Taxi ranks are located at Zone 5.
To reach at the airport by car, take I76 South and then turn off at exit 43B. Follow the signposts until you arrive at the airport.
Parking at Philadelphia International Airport
Philadelphia International Airport has ample parking for all passengers. The parking lots are located beside the terminal buildings, providing both short-term and long-term parking.
Those parking for long periods can use the economy parking option. The economy parking lot is located close to Terminal E. Valet parking is also available near the Departures entrance of Terminal B.
