ATMs and bureaux de change can be found throughout the three terminals: Terminal 1, Terminal 2 and the Commuter Terminal. A lost property service is located only in Terminal 2, which is by far the busiest terminal. Defibrillators can be found in all terminals.

All terminals boast a wide range of shops. However, most of the shops can be found on the upper floor of Terminal 2, including gift shops and book stores. There are some small stores in Terminal 1 and the Commuter Terminal. There are, however, no duty-free shopping options provided at the airport.

There are a number of eateries located in all three terminals. Passengers can find several cafés, snack bars, restaurants and fast food chains scattered throughout the airport. In all, there are about 30 food and drink outlets to choose from.

The airport itself does not provide any business facilities. However, business flyers can head to the Sheraton San Diego Hotel and Marina nearby, located in front of the airport grounds. The hotel features conference and meeting rooms, with an exhibition hall and full on business amenities. Passengers can also connect to the internet anywhere in the airport.

Transportation at San Diego International Airport

The Metro Flyer offers the cheapest transport option to the city centre. From the airport, take Flyer number 992, which operates to downtown San Diego. The Flyer also provides connections to the city Trolley and Coaster as well as Amtrak stations. The Metro Flyer leaves from all terminals.

Those traveling within a big group might want to take the private shuttle vans and buses that run from the airport to their destination. Shuttle companies include Airport Shuttle, Access Shuttle, Seatop Shuttle, Cloud 9 Shuttle, Sea Breeze Shuttle, Coronado Livery and EZ Rid.

Taxi services are easy to find at the airport. You can also pre-book your taxi with companies like Airport Yellow Cab of San Diego or American Cab. Most hotels provide courtesy pick-ups upon request.

Parking at San Diego International Airport

Both short-term and long-term parking options are provided at the airport. The car park is conveniently located outside each terminal. There is also the Cell Phone Parking lot which is ideal for picking up passengers. Parking is free of charge for the first 60 minutes.

There are three long-term parking lots that serve up to 3,000 vehicles. The parking lots are under good security and are connected to the terminals by free shuttle buses.
