St Louis Lambert International Airport (STL)
Facilities at St Louis Lambert International Airport (STL)
The first municipal airport in the country, St Louis Lambert International Airport was also the first airport that Theodore Roosevelt took a plane trip from. Not only does the airport have an interesting history, it also boasts good facilities for passengers.
The airport has two terminals, the Main and East terminals, with five concourses. The Main Terminal handles American and international airline companies while the East Terminal offers domestic flights only. Both terminals are conveniently connected by Metrolink, a free light-rail system. Shuttle buses are also available.
There are many ATMs and currency exchange services located in the Main and East terminals. Both concourses are equipped with a number of restaurants, cafés, bars and large food courts. Those wishing to do last-minute shopping can find several souvenir stores and bookshops. Duty-free shopping isn't provided at the airport.
Those wishing to use business facilities will need to travel to a nearby hotel. Data ports, however, can be found at telephone booths everywhere in the airport. The airport offers facilities for passengers with disabilities. Special toilets are provided in Concourse D and designated car park spaces are located in all parking areas.
Transportation at St Louis Lambert International Airport
A light rail system is a convenient option to take you from the airport to downtown St Louis. The platform is located on the upper level of the Main Terminal and the parking garages of the East Terminal. The service is very frequent and reliable.
Another good and convenient option for getting downtown is to use a taxi. Taxi cabs wait for passengers outside of the airport terminals as well as at exit MT14 on the Yellow Level.
For a luxurious ride, limousines can be hired on the Yellow Level beside the taxi rank. Motorists can take I-70, exiting at Junction 236, to the airport. The same road also leads directly to downtown St Louis.

Those preferring long-term parking can find the car park located a bit farther away from the airport. A free shuttle bus is provided to take you to all terminal buildings from this car park.
Passengers with disabilities can find designated parking spaces in all parking lots. Those requiring wheelchairs should contact the airport in advance.
